Silver zinc oxide(AgZnO)



Overview: Silver zinc oxide has better resistance to soldering and burnout, and its contact resistance is higher than that of silver cadmium oxide. Silver zinc oxide can be produced by a pre-oxidation-sintering-extrusion, a mixing-molding-sintering process, and an internal oxidation process. Silver zinc oxide is an environmentally friendly material.

Applications: Mainly used for circuit breakers, especially universal circuit breakers. And for motor protection switches, leakage circuit breakers, AC relays.

Overview: Silver tin oxide is an environmentally friendly electrical contact material with good resistance to burning and fusion welding. It has strong resistance to material transfer in DC switching circuits and is widely used. Mainly include: alloy internal oxidation method, pre-oxidation method, powder metallurgy method, chemical coating method and other manufacturing processes.

Applications: Widely used in all types of contactors, relays, circuit breakers and switches.

Silver cadmium oxide(AgCdO)



Overview: Silver cadmium oxide is the most widely used contact material for low voltage electrical appliances. It has good resistance to arc burnout and fusion resistance and low contact resistance from start to finish during use. The production process includes pre-oxidation-sintering-extrusion and internal oxidation. Cadmium oxide content is about 10-20% by weight. However, cadmium and cadmium oxide are not good for health and the environment, and silver cadmium oxide materials are banned in some countries.

Applications: Mainly used in various low voltage switchgear. Such as micro switches, relays, lighting switches, contactors, household appliances switches, various protection switches and some circuit breakers.

Silver graphite(AgC)



Overview: Silver graphite has high resistance to soldering and low contact resistance. As the graphite content increases, its resistance to fusion increases. Silver graphite material has self-lubricating properties when used as a sliding contact.

Scope of application: Mainly used for protection switches, such as miniature circuit breaker MCB, molded case circuit breaker MCCB, leakage protection switch or motor protection switch, often forming asymmetric pairing contacts with AgNi, AgW, AgWC or Cu.

Silver tungsten(AgW)



Overview: Silver-tungsten contacts have high melting resistance and arc corrosion resistance due to their high melting point and high hardness. They also have good electrical and thermal conductivity.

Applications: Silver tungsten materials are mainly used for low-voltage molded case circuit breakers and universal circuit breakers and protection switches.

Silver tungsten carbide graphite(AgWCC)



Overview: Silver tungsten carbide contact material with high melting point tungsten carbide has high hardness, low mechanical wear, low welding tendency and relatively stable contact resistance. Silver tungsten carbide contacts are produced by powder metallurgy infiltration.

Applications: Mainly used for high-load switching devices, such as circuit breakers, leakage switches. In many cases, it is used in asymmetric pairing with silver graphite.

Silver nickel(AgNi)


Overview: Silver nickel is more resistant to fusion and burnout than pure silver or fine grain silver. These two properties of the product are improved due to the increased nickel content of the high melting point. All silver-nickel materials are very workable and easy to solder. When the DC is turned on and off, the material transfer is small, and silver nickel is an environmentally friendly material.

Applications: Silver nickel products are widely used in low voltage switchgear. Such as relays, small current contactors, light switches, temperature controllers, protection switches (with asymmetric matching contacts with AgC, AgZnO, AgSnO2, etc.).
